Expressions of Interest from LDSB Community Members to Join Community Equity Advisory Committee (CEAC)

The Limestone District School Board has established the Community Equity Advisory Committee (CEAC) to support the Board in identifying and eliminating barriers to an equitable and inclusive environment for students, staff, and the broader community, and determining strategies for systemic implementation of LDSB’s Equity and Action Plan.

The Board is seeking expressions of interest from LDSB Community members to sit on the committee.

• Community members are expected to attend at least 3 of the 4 quarterly meetings of the committee in person. Meetings take place between 5:00-7:00 pm at the Education Centre.
• Community members are required to have a connection with the Board. Such connection can be as a current or former parent, staff, or community member who works for an organization that serves Limestone students
• Applicants should indicate in their expression of interest how they will offer diverse perspectives and/or lived experiences including (but not limited to) Anti-Black Racism, Anti-Indigenous Racism, Antisemitism, Ableism/Disabilities, Homophobia, Transphobia, Islamophobia, and/or Poverty/Classism.
• The term of community members of the committee shall be a 2-year term
