How to Report an Absence
Reporting a Student Absence

When reporting an absence, we need to know:

a) the full name of the person reporting the absence and his or her relationship to the student;
b) the student's full name;
c) the periods for which the student is absent;
d) the reason for the absence.

Preferably, absences can be reported ahead of time or on the morning of the absence. If this is not possible, they should be reported as soon as possible after the absence. This can be done in the following ways.

1. During school hours: Telephone 613-354-3381 and ask for the attendance office.
2. After school hours: Telephone 613-354-3381. When you get the answering machine, press 7 and leave a message with the above information.
3. Send a written note containing the above information with your student either before or after the absence.
